Coach Jay leads My Rugby Academy with a passion for helping young players grow both on and off the pitch. He’s an RFU-qualified coach and part of the Northampton Saints Academy coaching team, where he helps develop some of the country’s top youth talent. Jay has completed extensive coaching courses through both the RFU and Northampton Saints, bringing expert knowledge to every session.

As a dad of two rugby-playing boys (ages 13 and 10), Coach Jay understands what parents look for in a youth sports program—safe, supportive, and focused on building confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment.

With years of experience coaching in schools, clubs, and academies, Coach Jay creates a fun, challenging environment where every child can thrive.

Originally from New Zealand, Coach Hamish brings a deep love for rugby and a strong playing background to My Rugby Academy. He developed his skills in one of the sport’s most passionate rugby nations before moving to the UK, where he played for Bishop’s Stortford RFC 1st Team. Hamish was a key part of the squad that earned promotion to National League 1.

With over 10 years of coaching experience and completed coaching qualifications, Coach Hamish is dedicated to helping young players improve their skills and understanding of the game in a fun, positive environment.

His calm, supportive approach helps children grow in confidence while learning the values of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship—core to both rugby and life.
